Siam Garden

• Situated amidst the luxuriant vegetation of Kuramathi, Siam Garden offers guests an authentic experience, with a wide menu offering the distinct flavourful dishes from the four regions of Thailand.

Tandoor Mahal

The Reef

• An intimate restaurant, situated on the beach along the narrow stretch of the island, The Reef is their signature seafood restaurant. Palm Pizzeria & Gelateria

Medical Centre

• The Medical Centre is the best equipped one in this area, and features the largest hyperbaric (decompression) chamber in the Maldives.
• It is equipped to handle major diving accidents or other emergencies. In addition to the hyperbaric chamber, the Medical Centre also features modern diagnostic devices for carrying out ECG, X-rays, blood analyses and audiometry.
• It includes a small ward with two beds. Two German doctors, a Diving Medical Officer and a General Practitioner, are employed year round.

Diving

• Rasdhoo Divers operates two dive schools on the island (both affiliated PADI Gold Palm/SSI facility/Barakuda/CMAS) so you are never more than a few minutes walk from the wonders of the Indian Ocean.
• Under the Anglo-Austrian management of Instructor trainers, Matt Berry and Helmuth Steuber since 1994, their experienced, multi-lingual dive team provides a friendly and professional service to the guests.
• The enthusiastic instructors will inspire beginners to discover this amazing liquid world while experienced divers will find challenging dives with many types of sharks, mantas, turtles, rays, napoleons, barracuda and tuna as well as many of the smaller, but no less interesting inhabitants of the reef.
• Kuramathi is blessed by having an amazing Hammerhead Shark Point a mere eight minutes away by boat – one of the few remaining places in the world where you can still reliably see these magnificent creatures.
• Comfort and convenience for diving guests is assured with fast, modern dive boats that reach more than 20 local dive sites in an average boat ride of just 15 minutes. The local trips are supplemented by twice weekly full day safaris and half day trips to dive some of the best sites in neighbouring North Ari atoll.

• Bageecha is the Dhivehi name for garden or park. This Bageecha is built especially for the younger guests.

Follow these tips to receive the full benefits of The Kuramathi Spa

Take Time

• Give yourself plenty of time so you can enjoy the steam and sauna prior to your services.
• This will relax and warm the muscles, which will aid in the therapeutic benefits of all the treatments and services.

Shower

• A quick shower just before your massage or treatment is relaxing and washes off any sand, salts, minerals or chemicals that could clog pores when mixed with oils or other treatment products.

Treatment Attire

• Unless the service description specifies otherwise, it is customary to wear just your bath suite or robe to your service. You will be given the opportunity to disrobe and cover yourself in privacy.
• Throughout your services, your body will be draped with linens for modesty. At no time should you be fully exposed.

Communicate

• Prior to the start of your service, tell your therapist the areas you would like to focus on, and any areas to be avoided.
• During your service, let the therapist know if you feel any discomfort. Communication is the key to getting what you want out of your spa experience. Keep in mind that all bodywork is similar to exercise in that, lactic acid and other toxins are released from the muscles may cause some soreness for up to a few days.

Relax

• Close your eyes and allow your mind to be free. Breathe deeply and let the tension slip away with each breath. Remember, this time is for you.

Excursions & Trips

Island Hopping

• This is a full day trip and your chance to explore a bit of the Maldives. During this trip, we visit a local fishing village (Thoddoo or Ukulhas), another resort (Veligandu) and an idyllic deserted island (Madivaru) for a barbecue lunch and some snorkelling.
• Do remember to take your snorkelling gear. When visiting local islands, we ask all ladies to cover their shoulders and thighs.

Snorkelling Safari

• Together with our resident Marine Biologist, spend a couple of hours exploring the vibrant corals and underwater life around the outer reefs of Rasdhoo, Madivaru and Madivaru Finolhu.
• This excursion is recommended for experienced snorkellers only. Do remember your snorkelling equipment!

Visit to Rasdhoo, neighbouring Local Island

• Rasdhoo is the capital city of North Ari Atoll. Visit the island for a glimpse of local lifestyle and culture, or for some souvenir shopping.
• All ladies are asked to cover their shoulders and thighs when visiting Rasdhoo.

Sunset Cruise

• A must do! Take this chance to enjoy fiery Maldivian sunsets with a glass of sparkling wine. Don't forget to take your cameras, as you may just bump into some dolphins.

Coral Romance (Overnight Excursion)

• For ultimate relaxation, tranquillity and some pampering, take a trip to the heavenly island of Kandholhudhu, reached 45 minutes by speedboat.
• Surrounded by a stunning beach, this small and lush island boasts one of the most beautiful house reefs in the Maldives.

Big Game Fishing

• Big game fishing in the bountiful Maldivian seas is quite an unforgettable experience. If you are an enthusiastic fisherman, you will certain enjoy the modern boat 'Rainbow Runner' with its comfortable seats and sundeck over the roof.
• The catch varies depending on the time of the year, but big fish such as Wahoo, Barracuda and Sailfish can be caught. We fully support 'tag and release' policies and encourage all guests not to take more than one bill fish (sailfish, marlin or sword fish).
