The lodge has nine detached en-suite roundhouses which surround the centre piece eco-pool and an open view kitchen, bar and restaurant. All roundhouses have their own fruiting trees which supply shade, privacy and of course fruit.
For family visitors the resort offers two self contained authentic wooden cabins named Kaira Kunda and Kaira Bunga, both of which are self catering and have dedicated water and power supplies. The cabins are situated in the garden on the outskirts of the lodge.
For a real touch of elegance try Sunbird House. Situated 200 metres away in its own mature gardens it offers spacious luxury and privacy, whilst still having all the facilities and benefits of the Footsteps lodge just a short 5 minute stroll away.
En-Suite With Shower
Clean, comfortable and all yours! Composting toilets are odourless and use no water. Showers use sunlight to warm the water from mid morning to early evening, helping you to play your part in caring for the environment.
Restaurant & Bar
In keeping with the eco theme of the resort, all food and drinks are sourced locally from reputable suppliers. Menus vary each day to use seasonal produce. Fruit and vegetables are bought from neighbouring farmers and bread is baked early morning by local bakers. Some of the produce is even grown by the resort gardener Kunjang Bass at the lodge and delivered to the open-view kitchen just moments before your food is prepared.
