Culture
As you may have imagined the UAE is beautifully poised between two worlds. It’s a place where the glitz and glamour of its present tourist offering juxtaposes the authentic beauty of the region’s Islamic Arabian heritage. The shimmering high-rises of modern Abu Dhabi and the glistening tourist trap beaches give way to the mystical pull of the desert and mountains in the northern territories of Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
Cuisine
Before the boom of tourism, the flavours of the UAE took influence from its neighbours in Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Asia. However, modern Emirati cooking is even more widely influenced saffron, turmeric, cardamom, and thyme drive the sumptuous flavours of lamb, chicken, and fish. Due to its coastal positioning, seafood also plays a huge part in Emirati cuisine.
Climate
As it has a desert climate the United Arab Emirates boasts mild winters and scorching summers. From May – September temperatures can easily soar through the forties during the day. Whereas, from October – April you can expect the mercury to dance anywhere between 28° - 33°.
