Diani Beach

Diani Beach holidays are all about long stretches of white sand, warm Indian Ocean waters and an easy-going pace that makes switching off feel effortless. Set on Kenya's south coast, Diani combines a classic tropical beach escape with plenty of opportunities to get out and explore, making it a great choice whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a family holiday or some well-earned time in the sun.

The beach is naturally at the heart of a stay here. Spend your days finding a quiet spot beneath the palms, swimming in clear waters or making the most of the activities available along the coast. Snorkelling and scuba diving offer a closer look at the underwater world, while kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing and kitesurfing give more active travellers plenty to do.

There's more to Diani than its coastline, too. Patches of coastal forest provide a habitat for local wildlife, including the Angolan colobus monkey, while nearby nature reserves offer another side to the region. It's this combination of beach and wildlife that makes Diani particularly appealing if you'd like your holiday to include more than days beside the pool.

Diani Beach also works brilliantly as part of a wider Kenya adventure. Combine time on the coast with a safari and you can spend one part of your holiday looking out for wildlife across Kenya's remarkable landscapes before slowing everything down beside the Indian Ocean. Back in Diani, beachfront restaurants, resort dining and relaxed evenings make settling back into holiday mode very easy.

Our carefully selected Diani Beach holidays feature fantastic resorts along this beautiful stretch of Kenya's coastline, with options for couples, families and all-inclusive stays. And if you're thinking about combining Diani with a safari or you're simply not sure which hotel suits you best, our travel experts are here with genuine advice and support, helping you put together a holiday that feels right for you.
